Six months ago, 5/11 to be exact, I started a trade with a mtgsalvation.com forum member named 20piassQc. Since I had zero trade references and this was my first physical MtG trade I conducted the trade very openly and courteously. 20piassQc needed the cards for Regionals so I gave him my phone number and rushed to the post office to mail out his cards before it closed. I even included some extra uncommons I thought he could use and wrote and note thanking him and wishing him luck during regionals.
The cards I wanted were for a simple mono green aggro deck to bring to the local gaming center’s FNM. I had a great time at the Dissension release tournament. Besides winning the event I met up with a friend I haven’t seen in years. I wanted to keep experiencing the personal aspect of MtG. I already used my MtG budget to buy most of the cards I needed. This trade would completed the deck. I expected to have the cards within two weeks. 20piassQc said he would mail them out the following Monday.
I finally received the cards this week. The first 3 months of the waiting game consisted of constant private message battles, excuses, and unsavory language directed at my part. I could post the entire dialog here but I do not want to subject anybody to the childish rants I had to endure. Here are some interesting glimpses into what I had to deal with before finally giving up 3 months ago:
- I don’t care. I’m sending them when i find them, i dont want a pm back from you. I dont care about the feedback your supposed to give me.
- You think i care about this ****, Im ****ing tired of seeing pms from you, youll get your cards when u get them, ive sent out, stop ****ing pm’ing me.
- WOULD YOU STOP ****ING MESSAGINE ME EVERY ****ING DAY? IM TIRED OF YOU PM’ING ME. I TOLD YOU I SENT THE ****ING CARDS, I DONT GIVE A **** IF YOU HAVENT GOTTEN THEM YET, THERE IN THE MAIL, NOW STFU YOU **** JEW.
HOW ****ING HARD IS IT TO UNDERSTAND? Stop Messaging Me.

He did sent me a Godless Shrine and Overgrown Tomb to make me “somewhat happy” with him, or so he says in the hand written note he included with them. I guess I should be happy that I received anything but there is a problem. The gaming center closed about a month ago, leaving with me with no place to play. The cards are virtually worthless to me at the moment. The closest shop is almost an hour away.
What makes me happy is knowing that I’ve bundled up the racist and hateful communications he sent me, printed them out, and mailed them to his mother.
