Interesting Chat
Long story short.
Had a guy quit on me once I cast a first turn Duress in the PDC Casual Room. I asked why, this was the response.
What was really weird was that he quit 3 games in 5 minutes and I was curious so I asked why. Maybe he had a really tight definition of casual and I wanted to know what it was.
Instead of answering he went all cry baby on me from what he says reported me for harassment. Weirdest part was he didn’t block me.
I guess some people are just sensitive. Have any of you had the same kind of experience? I fullest expect to mean real assholes online but didn’t expect such sensitivity.
All shapes and sizes, all shapes and sizes…

2nd place at TPDC 2.04 with MONO G MOMENTUM
I could never figure out what to play so I just picked any green card that provided a card advantage and went with it. Skysweeper is tech vs. Blink. What else are you going to do with your mana elves? Throw them at Blind Hunters! Gets rid of Pillories Too.
Biggest Problem? Dedicated Aggro rolls on you. Never got a chance to use Starfetcher and Seal was a stupid choice. Is there any enchantment being played that Skysweeper can’t remove?
Search for tomorrow is probably better than Rampant Growth, several times it was sitting in hand because I only had 1 mana free while keeping up my onslaught. Maybe cut down on Woodreaders but he was golden for dedicated digging.

So there was this clan called CK ( Cereal Killas ) that ran a bunch of PRE ( player run events ) for a while. They apparently broke up or splintered into another clan called SiK ( Skilled in Killing ). Then there is this other clan called OH ( Only Hell ) that runs a bunch of PREs that CK used to hold. All of these guys are running separate events, on the same day, with similar names. Then there’s the PDC ( Pauper Deck Challenge ) crew with half a website someplace out in left field.
I have next Monday off.
I can choose between Support or Army by SiK or Odds/Evens by OH.
Wonderful.
Support or Army sounds like a fun format. Unfortunately I have no MTGO friends so 2 vs. 2 is a little less accessible for me. The listing also contains this gem of a statement:
No talking during rules or table postings is strongly encouraged so that everyone can know the proper seating arrangements. Repeated input of incorrect amounts will result in a disqualification for tonight’s event.
Wow.
Odds/Even seems interesting yet the listing says “Further rules will be announced as soon as possible, stay tuned.” Ok…
At least this is reassuring:
“If you have any questions reguarding the format please see the tournament’s manager.”
Cool, I’ll contact the guy who didn’t bother to use a spell checker with… Oh… no email, IM, or PM link… awesome. That means I’ll have to boot my MTGO client, /addbuddy the manager, and hope he’s online. That might work except there is NO mention of the MTGO username of who the tournament manager actually is.

Every thursday I keep playing the same deck at the CK event tournaments and getting my butt handed to me in the later rounds. I want to win, but I don’t want to abandon my cool deck idea. I’m going to try this deck out one last time and either ask for help improving the deck or abandon it entirely.
Update:
I played Mancer tonight and got owned. I really love the deck and still have a theory that it could be a dominant force in the current metagame. More testing is needed and other cards must be explored.

So these River Boas are beating me and my teammates face in during the CK Commons Clash and all I have to stop them is these recurring [card]Crypt Rats[/card]. I thought all hope was lost. What I didn’t realize is that I could use the Crypt Rats and the stack to force my opponent to regenerate them three times and get rid of the pesky monsters.
I wonder why my teammate never mentioned anything to me about that ability because it seems like such a trivial error. My only saving grace is that I did build the deck about one minute before the event and never encountered regenerating creatures with Crypt Rats before. We could of won that game.
