September 15th, 2008

As always, foot-in-mouth disease is a constant infection I have to fight. Puremtgo reminded me of that infliction by rightly pointing out my last blog post’s comments was, ahem, less than perfect…

Ok, I made a half dozen typos… In fact, A LOT of them. Moving on…

The real point of this blog post was to discuss my recent involvement in the first MTGO town hall meeting. Unlike the Mcain campaign our town hall discussed pertinent issues rather than reiterate the same talking points over and over again. There was some dead horse beatings involving MTGO’s UI but overall the discussions where productive.

One of the topics I, the segue master brought up was creating some kind of link list to bring the community a little closer together. There have been several more blogs that I’ve caught sprouting up like saprolings during the upkeep step of a Mycoloth, and a new podcast emailed me the other day regarding the status of this blog.

What the community needs is to see each other, hear each other, and recognize the contributions each of us make. Besides bashing other sites, or raining on the confidence parade of tcgplayer’s vapid featured writers, I really don’t do too much. Maybe maintaining, and encouraging the publication of a link listing would be my contribution?

Even though I still don’t play as much as I used too I still feel myself drawn back into the community. Am I back? Maybe so…

Shit… I hate when people dramatize “leaving” or “rejoining” a forum or online community. This is the internet. As long as your checking your email, you’ve never left, all you’ve done is not participate. Foot in mouth again…
