Why do I read set reviews?
No set reviews enlighten me on the possible uses for a card outside of a standard environment. Boring stuff really.
Yet I’m reading William Spaniels set reviews again and hating every moment of it. Spaniel’s writing ability and style has grown some since publishing at Londes.com. Loaded with inside jokes and a constant flurry of insults against Mike Flores, his writing is still annoying and very noisy stuff. Sometimes I think he has a little crush on Mike, maybe its a weird form of appreciation and envy? he picks on Flores in every article he writes. What did Flores to do him? Bad breakup perhaps?
Maybe I read because there is nothing else. Would probably be nice to see a different kind of set review. Maybe one that examines a look at flavor and/or different ways to value cards outside of a competitive environment.
Witch’s Mist is an absolute badass casual card to build a deck around, and Korlash, Heir to Blackblade has sick artwork. No set reviews I’ve read really dwell on these things. A lot of magic players could be interested in seeing such content, maybe I’ll have to get working on something.
Eh, still have that Tallowisp article to write.
Hopefully I’ll be updating more often from this point foward. MTGO 3 has really kicked my MTGO enthusiasm right in the balls.

Although I did not mention Korlash’s art, I tried to comment on card art three or four times per color in my reviews this week.
